16/17th April 2014: Saffron Walden

As part of the Saffron Walden Museum's exhibition "Secrets from the Stores" (which runs until the 20th July 2014), I was invited to perform Stone Age living history for the visitors over the Easter Holidays.

As the weather was good, I was on the lawn outside on both days. On each day, over 150 visitors came along to watch me flintknapping and view and handle some of my replica artefacts.

Gemma Tully, from the museum said: “The kids and parents have loved it. We have had really positive feedback. We wanted to get people to realise that just because cave men are from the Stone Age it doesn’t mean they were primitive.”
